Meet "Commander" Andy
Andy Bibber isn’t your average CFI with a clipboard. With over 35 years of flying and roughly 30,000 hours, he’s spent more time in the air than most pilots will spend behind a desk.
Raised in Maine, he learned to fly the way aviation used to be taught —
Summers on floats
Winters on skis
Hopping frozen lakes instead of paved runways
From there, he went on to cropdust for a living — then spent 20 years in Alaska hauling people, freight, fuel, animals, and anything else that could be stuffed through a cabin door. If it could be flown, he flew it. If it could be landed on, he landed on it.
No ego. No BS. Andy is one of the most effective instructors you’ll meet — part philosopher, part bush pilot, part mechanic. He teaches from experience, not theory, and his goal isn’t to impress you — it’s to make you better.
His team includes a crew of equally seasoned pilots who combine deep technical knowledge with a relentlessly positive attitude. It’s not flight training — it’s skill building with people who live for it.
His flying tips and trick reels regularly pull hundreds of thousands of views online, and you’ll quickly see why — he makes real flying make sense.
Our Team
Our highly experienced aviators will help you get set up for flight training, joy rides, maintainence and more.

Alex Sholey - CFI, CFII
Alex helps us at our air shows, you'll often see him with a big smile taking parents and kids up in Patches our Piper Supercruiser. He's also one of our evening and weekend instructors.

Dr. Michaela Renee Johnson "JoJo"
Michaela handles our back office and a lot of our social media. She just made history with the first aeronautical book tour, coast to coast in "Scarlett" a Stinson Reliant. She's also the 1st place winner of the 2023 Palms to Pines Air Race and is a commercial tailwheel pilot, who is instrument, multi and seaplane rated.

David Murray
Our weekend pinch hitter, Growing up watching the Reno Air races he has always loved aviation, especially radial engines. Murray earned his license about ten years ago, and has been flying ever since. Adventure Flight gave him the opportunity to fly classic cool stuff like the WWII Navy Biplane and the T6, he's now the proud owner of a T6 and his day job is playing with SeaFury's. He's happy to share the amazing wonders of flying vintage aircraft.
